One of my children used a binki and one sucked their thumb. All of them are fated for the orthodontist. I think genetics plays a much larger role than either of these.<br />

Well she has always had one and we did ok nursing so my supply is not concerning me. I think dental did concern me a little. So that is cool to know that there is no documented damage! I know sometimes they can effect speech, -- hard to talk with something in their mouths... But she does not have that problem where it is only in her bed. She loves her binki, and I love hearing her suck on it through the monitor LOL. It gives me peace.

Binkies have no documented damage, from my understanding So, removing them is not necessary for dental health. I believe use of a pacifier does decrease milk supply however.<br />
