Exploring Holistic Alternatives

Families practicing: Alternative & Natural Health; Attachment and Mindful Parent

We went to Bush N Vine Farm today in York to pick-your-own. We had a great time and it was very reasonably priced. We picked blueberries and yellow and white peaches. The blueberries for pick-your-own were $7/ half gallon and $12/gallon. The peaches were $6/peck, $11/half bushel and $20/bushel. We did the 1/2 bushel and we have a ton of peaches. It took us about an hour to pick a gallon of blueberries and 1/2 bushel of peaches. We had 2 adults and 3 kids picking. They will be doing pick-your-own thru July. You can still buy their produce at their stands for the month of August, but will not be doing pick-your-own. I highly recommend going! I also bought some Bush N Vine honey! We went in the morning and it worked out well. We left about 11:30 and it was starting to get hot!

Thanks for the reminder Joette. I want to get out there sometime.

I also wanted to post that there is a place to pick organic blueberries in Marshville. In case that is closer for anyone. They are selling at the new Indian Trail Farmers market. I've gotten the berries and they are amazing! I haven't been yet pick our own but hope to get out there. They also sell "all natural grass fed beef and pasture raised pork".

The website says "under construction" but here is the info.

Poison Ivy

Does anyone have suggestions for relieving poison ivy itch?  I'm new to holistic treatments, and hubby has a small case of what he thinks is poison ivy or oak on face and hands.
