I'm glad I found this group! I was born and raised in Germany and came to the US as an Au Pair about 6 years ago. I met my husband, we got married three years ago and here I am pregnant. I am just finishing up my Associate in Arts degree and I manage the Waxhaw Farmer's Market.
My husband and I started on our "crunchy" journey right after we got married. His cousin's wife introduced us to the Weston A Price Foundation and from there on out we became interested in home birth, gentle discipline, local and sustainable food, extended breastfeeding, co-sleeping, unschooling and much more. I look forward to learning a lot and to meeting like-minded people!
Hey Christine! Welcome to the group!
My 16 yo wants to go to Germany because "that's where all the great dressage (horse) trainers are!" She has taken a year of German at a school, and then we moved here and discovered she couldn't take a class at the schools here. So we're going to try to find a way for her to just go there next summer to work, ride, and learn German.
Cheers, Francie
