Before I plan the Sunday presenters, I wanted to see how many folks would prefer a monthly gathering on Sunday 1-3pm, rather than Wednesdays at 7:30pm, monthly. If enough folks prefer Sundays, we could add the Sunday gatherings.
Sunday afternoons would be great. I'd love presentations on those things I'm currently trying to learn about.... leaky gut, food sensitivities, enzymes, probiotics, kefir, etc.! But I am open to anything, really :)
As always, thanks for organizing. I would probably would only be able to go to Sundays occasionally - but I guess once monthly counts as occasionally :).
WRT presentations: Is there a list of presentations we are choosing from in terms of what we want or just an open discussion about what we want? If the latter, I would love to have a organic gardening talk as we approach spring planting season...maybe just all of us talking about whats worked for us. I have had some successes and some total failures - for example, pumpkins. I cannot for the life of me grow pumpkins successfully and would love to get some advice. Maybe folks who are interested could share seeds? I collected seeds from my open pollinated zinnas and french marigolds this fall and should have some to share if people were interested. I also tried to collect okra seeds that I could share (from plants I grew from organic seeds shared with me last year) but not sure if I dried them correctly...anyway, just a thought... Also, maybe we could have a book group meeting one time or a couple of times a year? Also, I think you had a backyard chickens talk and maybe I missed it, but if it didn't end up happening, I would love to hear a talk on that. How about learning to knit? I would LOVE a tutorial there, maybe others would as well? Maybe we could have a skill sharing meeting, we could all note something we could share and something we want to learn and see how things match up??
I love, love the sunday time!!! Naomi is great, I can always learn about ways to stay healthy, and it would be cool to have a local chef teach us a few tricks of the trade for healthy meals.
thanks Pat,
hope isn't too late to express my interest for Sunday too. Would be great for me, since I can't make it weekday evenings.
And if there are people interested to learn how to knit, I would gladly give a lesson or two, for beginners or experts... I 'd like to learn new ways how to stay healthy, organic shopping, kefir cultures, sprouting etc.
Thanks for the idea
I have really really wanted to come to a gathering but Wednesday's are always crazy and I can't ever seem to make it- I feel that I could definitely make it on a Sunday- I'm glad some other moms feel the same:) I look forward to connecting with some of the great people in our community!

Does anyone have suggestions for relieving poison ivy itch? I'm new to holistic treatments, and hubby has a small case of what he thinks is poison ivy or oak on face and hands.
