"I agree totally. This age is a blast!
I do, however, feel that with my daughter's personality it would be good for her to spend a few hours a couple times a week in a preschool setting.
I would even be interested in a coop preschool, if that…"
"We were having too much fun to do preschool :) Then that just lead us to unschooling. I'm so grateful for our time together, exploring the world and our passions as a family.

Angela-- with regard to your preschool question, we also have spirited little ones that thrive around other children. We thought about homeschooling, but then found a great philosophy of learning. We found a "progressive" preschool, which essentially believes in letting the children play and that they will learn from playing with minimal intervention. There is the Open Door Preschool in Cotswold, and the Piedmont Progressive Preschool in the University area. They are currently planning on opening another school that will also serve kindergarten, and then add a grade each year. Here is a link with more info: www.ceproject.org Also, if you give me your email, I can forward some additional information. I'm not adept at getting info onto this site... :) Thanks, Christine
Welcome! I totally didn't know there was an attachment parenting group here in Charlotte!?!?! My friend, Alecia Ibach was an API leader until her third (of four children). :-) Plus, she is busy with a small "farm" now.
What part of Charlotte do you live in? We are in south Charlotte and have one son, age 7.
Glad you joined us. Feel welcome to invite anyone you believe would enjoy a holistic community. This "Ning" site is amazing!!
