Exploring Holistic Alternatives

Families practicing: Alternative & Natural Health; Attachment and Mindful Parent

We have books!

Would you like to borrow any of them? Members could make a list of books they are willing to lend. But also people could just post for books they would like to read, then anyone can check their books.

We have pregnancy, birthing, breastfeeding, infant, child development, parenting, holistic, herbal, health oriented, education, homeschooling, unschooling, nutrition, dental, vaccination, allergies, homeopathy, art, crafts, gardening, chickens, LoA, fiction, etc. etc.

Requests?

Let's say a one month lending time? Folks could contact the member directly and find a time to pick up the book at their house, or arrange to bring it to a monthly event.

Actually, I have the Unconditional Parenting DVD. It is even more approachable for husbands. I'll bring it along too.

Great idea!!! I will be able to contribute someday... when my books are out of their boxes this summer!
Great ! see you tonight.
Joy
I have them both with my purse.

See you tonight.

Pat
Hope you all can join us tomorrow evening! Bring your favorite holistic book!

Pat
Hi Pat, I am looking forward to meeting you and the others too. I will be at Earthfare tonight - got my dad to watch my son - yippee! I unfortunately do not have many books yet, there is one I am reading now that I will bring and can lend afterwards but I am interested in many of the books you, Anna and Cara have listed. If they have not been "checked out" yet, I would be interested in the following: Three In A Bed - Deborah Jackson, Mothering Your Nursing Toddler - Norma Jane Bumgarner, The Nursing Mother's Guide to Weaning - Kathleen Huggins (I think Cara had these). I also was interested in Punished by Rewards - Kohn that Anna had listed. And several of yours: Homeschooling Our Children Unschooling Ourselves- Alison McKee, The Unschooling Handbook - Mary Griffith, Guerilla Learning - Grace Llewellyn, Healthy Teeth for Kids- Jerome Mittelman, How to Raise A Healthy Child In Spite of Your Doctor- Robert S. Mendelsohn and any John Holt books. If ANY of these are still available and could be brought tonight, I would love to read them. I will try to get some more books myself and be able to be on the lending side as well :) See you all tonight!

Leah
Hi Leah,

I'm sorry, I won't be able to make it tonight. We are hosting a music rehearsal at our house, so I think I need to be here. :)

I do have those books for you and will try to get them to you another way. Where are you located?

Cara

Poison Ivy

Does anyone have suggestions for relieving poison ivy itch?  I'm new to holistic treatments, and hubby has a small case of what he thinks is poison ivy or oak on face and hands.
