Exploring Holistic Alternatives

Families practicing: Alternative & Natural Health; Attachment and Mindful Parent

I am having my third but this is the first time using cloth diapers.
I am clueless. I have a collection of diapers given to me by friends.
my mom wants to get me a gift certificate to get cloth diapers but doesn't know where-
wondering how many do I need- this is like minimum need- finances are super tight and so I can wash frequently.
also how do people store them until they clean them?
I do not use bleach anymore-

Thanks!

A minimim of 12-15 and you would be washing every day. I store mine in a wicker baske. Wash in the washer. Cold rinse, then hot wash cold rinse. I use regular powdered tide or Planet from Home economist. I have a gift registry on my site. If you are interested, I'd love to help youarted with cloth!
Hey Gina...

Congrats first off on having your third soon.. What wonderful news... and congrats and Welcome to the WONDERFUL world of Cloth Diapering.. :0)

I have a store here locally and have a website as well.. I meet with parents weekly at my store to go over all the details and ins & outs of cloth diapering...

I would personally start with a minimum of 14 diapers. You can store your soilded diapers in a dry pail. I sell both dry pails and wet bags at the store.

I sell Charlies Soap products in my store and or I tell you of other laundering alternatives as well.. :)

I also sell seconds (used) cloth diapers at my store. I have been blessed to be known to have the largest selection of cloth diapers and supllies in NC.

You can purchase gift cerificates at my store and or on my website!

I would love to help you out with all your questions & concerns...

The very best to you and your family...

Poison Ivy

Does anyone have suggestions for relieving poison ivy itch?  I'm new to holistic treatments, and hubby has a small case of what he thinks is poison ivy or oak on face and hands.
