Profile Information

What does "holistic" mean to you?
Seeing life as a whole continuous journey, that begins and ends with the earth.
How long have you been interested in holistic living?
For about 8 years. My husband and I have always been environmentally concieous. When we started our family, we knew that we needed to be more proactive in going green and being respectful of the earth and protecting its' resources.
a little about me
I am a mother of 2 wonderful sons: Carson 4 years and Caiden 7 months. My husband Carlos and I try to find a holistic harmony and balance in all areas of our lifestyle. As we raise our children we want to give them positive experiences to help educate them about the importance of recycling and using products that are evironmentally friendly. We buy and use organic food and other items as much as possible.
What professional or business affiliations do you offer?
I am a Realtor with the Allen Tate Company and I love helping people find homes that are "green". I also use my profession to educate people about the benefits of real estate investing.

It's pretty far from my house, I don't think I'm going to go. I have to go to Ft. Mill on Tuesday (raw milk p/u) and Lincoln County on Friday...so (after the long explanation) I have to watch my gas...especially since I can't find any.

Hi Melanie, I haven't put much thought into if I will use cloth diapers yet. I did register for some... I don't know if could convince my husband to go with that idea. He is the one that will most likely stay home to care for the baby once he arrives. Isn't this a great site? Welcome!

I live in Mount Holly in the Autumn Woods community. I started the North Charlotte group and you are more then welcome to join us. We have been here a year and love the area but havebeen having a herd time finding like minded families in this part of the city. I love that I am starting to find more people in the area. So far most of the people I have connected with have been in South Charlotte. I hope to start some group events soon. I hope you can find a sitter for Wed. I look forward to meting you.

Poison Ivy

Does anyone have suggestions for relieving poison ivy itch?  I'm new to holistic treatments, and hubby has a small case of what he thinks is poison ivy or oak on face and hands.
