What does "holistic" mean to you?
Good question. Holistic- to me- means looking at the person as a whole person, encompassing mind, body, and spirit. In regard to health, I see it meaning looking at ways the body can heal itself. I believe holistic approaches are very connected with Naturopathic Medicine Philosophy. I believe we are spiritual beings having a human experience and thus seeing things holistically, the spiritual side is always involved.
How long have you been interested in holistic living?
Since birth? I have a degree in Occupational Therapy and feel this education and my work as an OT was a first step on the path. I first heard a Naturopathic Doctor speak on a audio tape seminar: Living Your Life on Purpose- this was about 10 or 12 years ago. Having children definitely sped up the process for me of holistic living, although I see it is an evolving journey in my life. My spiritual path has been ongoing and took off about 12 years ago when I found Unity.
a little about me
This is too open ended and I could ramble on! I shared much above so I will just add that I am a writer- from deep in my soul. It has been a hobby all my life and recently I have embarked on making it a career. I in particular aspire to write about parenting issues and homeschooling/unschooling. The websites below are new (so know that more is coming for them) but I have had the ideas for years. Soon you will be able to access them without the "ning" part of the address.
I was born on "Peace Day" declared during the Vietnam War.

Sounds like you all are busy!! Wow.

Scott and I have 'date night' on Wednesdays, which makes it harder for me to coordinate that day. But, we could try another night. It was fun.

Yes. I still have Amber & Bows at the Me & Mommy location. Just bring it back and get a smaller one. They tend to have more rolls and less neck when they are younger.. so , the larger ones fit for a while.. Have a super week! ASH

Hey, Gina. It was great meeting you too. I hope that next month we'll see each other again (I'm at the beach for my b-day during the Sunday meeting). I'm glad we could do an impromtu, informal meeting.

Hey Gina,

Yes, joined when you forwarded the link to me, thanks so much. Still haven't had much time to look into it but it's interesting. My "part time" job has taken up all my extra time I used to have so I find I don't have any time hardly at all anymore to do anything other than work, housework & family/kids. Still would like to get together one of these days:) Hope all is well with you too and I know your day is coming soon...January, right? So far, still on track for April. Going to Rock Hill later today as I am sure you are as well. Take care! Leslie

Hi Gina!
So am I understanding that if I am someone's friend on another ning, then they are automatically my friend on a new one that I join?
At 9:28pm on September 22, 2008, Pat said…
I've had fun playing with it. It is so user-friendly, anyone can start a ning! It is amazing. I think I could do a commercial for ning. LOL

There is a lot of "drama" potential on sites, if the scope isn't well defined. That is my most relevant "hint". I trust that folks will self-moderate, as following all threads or "supervising" is not my style.

Hope to see you soon.
