Hi. I'm a stay at home mom with identical twin girls. They are 9 months old now! They grow so fast!
I've always been frustrated with allopathic medicine and how I would just be written a prescription instead of actually addressing the issue. After several years of frustration I found homeopathy. I work with an ND in Matthews and love him!
Having children has really changed the way we look at nutrition. Instead of convenience alone I now look at what is actually in the foods I am preparing. I make all of my own baby food from organic fruits and vegetables. The babies seem to enjoy it! My husband and I have been eating well for several months now and feel wonderful. We aren't vegetarians but we eat very little meat now and don't even notice it. My thought process when preparing food before used to be "What can I have with this chicken?" Cooking is more fun now that we've branched out.
I'm not sure what we are going to do yet about homeschooling. We have some time to figure that out. We don't vaccinate anymore. We vaccinated until they were 4 months old and then learned about the religious exemption. I didn't even know that was an option before or why someone would choose to do that.
Overall I feel great about our decisions on how to raise our children and take care of our entire family. Keeping as many chemicals out of our bodies as possible seems to be helping our overall well-being. I feel better than I ever have and so does my husband. I'm happy to be a part of this new group and look forward to future discussions!
Your girls look beautiful. Welcome to the group. I so know how you feel when you say your issues were never fully addressed. I think we're all going to gain a lot form this forum.

Does anyone have suggestions for relieving poison ivy itch? I'm new to holistic treatments, and hubby has a small case of what he thinks is poison ivy or oak on face and hands.
