I know I am a week late with my reply- but there are homeschoolers who meet each Friday at Wilgrove Park in Mint Hill. I will be out of town this Friday- Oct 24 but on a future Friday would love to meet up with others from this site. The homeschoolers meet 1-3. We could meet earlier or about the same time.

I might be able to attend the Wilgrove Mint Hill Park this Friday- Oct 31. We are going camping early Sat morning with scouts so it depends on how ready we are- but could likely be at the park 1 ish and stay til 3. Let me know if others are interested- Laura? and I can let you know for certain if I will be there. My email is: gina@mommydaddystop.com

Just to let you all know (some of you do already) We are having a friend of ours do a "party pets" party at my house on Wednesday from 2-3pm. There will be a bunny, tortoise, snakes, lizards etc. Come join the fun. No cost, just come hang out!

Walking, anyone? Was wondering if any of you wanted to get together to walk a few times a week? Mornings, 9ish? I usually walk my neighborhood but if anyone's up for it, meet at the park on Fairview a few times a week? I always have my 2 year old with me (my 5yr old is at school during the day). I have a double stroller if needed.

Hi...me again, no takers I guess on the walking thing...if, however, any of you in the Mint Hill area are ever up for walking, let me know or playdates. I changed my walking habits to later in the day when the weather is nicer, usually going around 11 am. Have a beautiful day!

Not sure if you all have heard, I am starting a Frontier Girls Troop in the area. We're still taking girls ages 5-16. Email me for more info. You can look at the web site in the meantime . . .

Poison Ivy

Does anyone have suggestions for relieving poison ivy itch?  I'm new to holistic treatments, and hubby has a small case of what he thinks is poison ivy or oak on face and hands.
