What does "holistic" mean to you?
It means taking responsibility for your health. It is important to look for natural ways to remove stresses from the body and then allowing the body to heal itself through Vits, herbs, and other modalities.
How long have you been interested in holistic living?
I have used holistic approaches my whole life. My parents had a health food store in the early 60's and my mother started a fast food health restaurant in the early 70's in Asheville. I have continued this method of wellness with my children.
a little about me
I used to live in Charlotte 20 years ago and recently moved back with my hsband and 3 children. My oldest had asthma and I was on a quest to avoid the route that the Drs. were recommending. It was not working and was beginning to interfere with our daily life. It was through this experience that I now want to share my knowledge and help others heal.
What professional or business affiliations do you offer?
I am a cerfied Iridologist, which is the study of the iris(color part of the eye) to see strength and weaknesses in the body, and a certified scenar therapist. I also remove sensitivities from the body and have a machine that removes toxins and aids the body in healing through frequencies. Works really well! I also am a Nature Sunshine rep., which is an herbal line that enables you to buy your herbs/vits. at wholesale cost. I use MRT(muscle response testing) to test and also do energy work.

Hope you can join us for the MNO on 2/3, or the monthly gathering on 2/18 or 2/22!

The potluck is mostly moms with younger children, a few dads are coming along. The MNO are just moms; the monthly holistic meetings are men and women, occasionally a couple children along.

Hope to meet you sometime.

Welcome!

Glad you joined us.

Consider adding your business contact information to the "Member Resources" forum.

Hope to meet you at an event sometime. I don't know anything about iridology. I'm intrigued; someone wrote to me recently wondering if there was an iridologist in town. I don't believe we found you on google. Have you recently moved here?

Poison Ivy

Does anyone have suggestions for relieving poison ivy itch?  I'm new to holistic treatments, and hubby has a small case of what he thinks is poison ivy or oak on face and hands.
