Treating the "whole" person from the aspect of addressing the root of the cause rather than just the syptom. This can include many modalities in order to achieve the overall goal of wellness.
How long have you been interested in holistic living?
For about 15 years now, and more so when I became a home birth midwife 11 years ago.
a little about me
I am married and a mother of 3 children. My oldest was born with severe congenital heart defects and has undergone 6 open heart surgeries. I became a home birth midwife 11 years ago and love that I can assist and empower women to do give birth naturally and safely in the place they feel most comfortable - their home. I believe our country has lost the art of midwifery and I hope to be a pioneer in bringing back that lost art. I also have a thriving health/wellness company which I am fortunate to have the ability to work from home. I plan to open a birth center in the Fort Mill area very soon.
What professional or business affiliations do you offer?
I am a member of NAWBO, and area coordinator for The Heart Link Network.

Glad you joined us. There is another mama here who is a new midwife, and just moved to Fort Mill and is passionate about opening a Birth Center. Are you all connected yet? Leigh Fransen is her name, hopefully you all can connect.
I was a cardio-thorasic critical care nurse in my life before mothering. I only cared for adults though. Six surgeries is a lot of time in and out of the hospital, I hope she is doing well now!
