Terrific on your new Group. You might want to "Edit Group" to delete the "Comments" tool. When folks post to "Comments" NO ONE is notified!! It is a glitch of the site. If folks post to the "Discussion", then members of that group are notified of new posts. I think. LOL
Congratulations on your new little one! Would love to see a story about your birth experience. I never wrote mine down and much of it is fuzzy memory now.
Love hearing about these fabulous babies coming peacefully into our world!
Hello, nice to here from you. This is the link for Diana's group
charlottehomeschooling.ning.com
There is lots of great info and groups on this site. I'm in the process of starting a new yahoo group in our area so I will let you know when I get it up and running.
I don't know if the coffee shop in Mt Holly is the same anymore. I think it was called The Well House. I just drove by there the other day though and it had a differ name on the windows. I'm not sure if it still organic, fair trade. I will have to look into it.
We just started homeschooling last year. I would be happy to share any info I can with you. I would check out the new HScharlotte website, it is on one of the forums for HS here. Diane started it. It has lots of good info on area groups.
I don't do fast food meet ups either. Nice resturants or coffee shops for Moms and playgrounds/parks or my house for kids. There is a nice coffee shop here in Mount Holly that is organic/fairtrade. They have music and poetry at night.
I will set something up in November-park day or playday. I'm still waiting for others to let me know what is good so I can get some idea what I want to do.
Welcome to the North Charlotte group! I'm in Mount Holly, I homeschool my 3 kids and have been really investigating and trying more and more, alternitives to pharmecuticals.
Where are you located?
Let me know what you would be interested in as far as group gatherings go. I want to plan a MNO next month and possibly a playday for the kids or a family day.
Yes, both events are on the south side this month. Consider joining the north Charlotte "Group". See the menu tab at the top of the page. Jenn is wanting to plan some MNO and holistic presentations and gatherings up that way too.
I'd love to learn more about herbal medicine. I've always been a bit shy about them, coming from a medical perspective. But, I love homeopathy. And I don't understand it! So, I'm open to learning more herbal alternatives.

"Interesting. I do find info about Arnica as a poison ivy relief alternative. I hadn't heard of that. Homeopathic Apis helps for swelling, hives also.

What part of Charlotte do you live in? How old is your daughter? We are in south Charlotte, our son is seven.
Hope to meet you soon!
