- What does "holistic" mean to you?
- Holistic means taking into account the whole person when making choices. Being mindful about what we put in and around our bodies and balancing that with our current lifestyle.
- How long have you been interested in holistic living?
- 5+ years.
- a little about me
- I'm a mom of 3 kiddos (ages 5, 3, 1). Our family supports homebirth (2 of my 3 were homebirths in Maryland), extended bf, cosleeping, and frugal living. My personal addiction is thrift shopping and yard sales. My former career was an aero engineer, but now I reign as mom and household coordinator (same thing, right?). I also make eco-friendly children's stools using recyced or recyclable materials, but haven't gotten my business up and running since moving to North Carolina this past year.

Check out the "Reduce/Reuse/Recycle" subforum. I believe it is under "Mindful Home Management". Also, there is a "Frugal Living" subforum there. We'd love to tap your wisdom about these issues! There was another new mama who is passionate about Recycling and we were discussing creating a flyer to increase awareness in our neighborhoods about the benefits of recycling. Perhaps, we could work together to get a whole grassroots community effort going and get on TV advocating it. ;-)

Poison Ivy
Does anyone have suggestions for relieving poison ivy itch? I'm new to holistic treatments, and hubby has a small case of what he thinks is poison ivy or oak on face and hands.
