"Organic" No hormones or antibiotics, grass fed only Beef!

I recently went in with some other people on a 1/4 of an organically raised (no hormones, antibiotics, strickly grass fed) cow for fresh beef. I did not know how much room it was going to take up & since found out it is 75lbs. of meat. I do not have enough room for that much beef in my freezer. Likewise, another person in the group also didn't know how much it was going to be either. He & I could split a 1/4 but then we have a whole 1/4 left to get rid of.

The price of the meat is very reasonable for what you are getting, $4.50/lb. & that includes steaks, ribs & roasts as well as hamburger & stew meat.

If you are interested here is the information about the beef:

GRASS FED Locally Raised Beef (Rutherford Co.) – All natural – Lean – Antibiotic free - USDA inspected - Packaged - Frozen and Kitchen ready!

One–fourth $4.50 per lb. Weight 75 lbs.(Weight and cuts are approximate, depending on packaged weight of meat)

Consists of:
• 20 steaks (8 t-bones, 4 sirloins, 8 rib-eyes)
• 20 lbs. hamburger
• 10 lbs. stew beef
• 16 pcs. cube steak
• 5 roasts (1 shoulder, 2 chuck, 2 sirloin tips or 1 sirloin tip and 1 rump)
• 2 pkgs. ribs for BBQ
• 2 pcs. round steak

I will sell the whole 1/4 or I can split it up equally, 1/8 of the cow (or half of everything listed above). However you choose to do it the cost will be $4.50 per pound. It is in Forest City & can be picked up as early as Wed., May 27th. Since I am the one who is responsible for the original purchase & I have to pick up the other 1/4 for my friend I will go get it.

Wow, this sounds fabulous. I have NO freezer space and have considered getting a separate freezer in order to purchase quantities of food at low cost like this.

I want to buy some of this for dh, as he'll stop at Harris Teeter and buy the yuck meat!!

Well, you are in luck, if you have the freezer space that is, I had such an overwhelming response to my plees that I have decided to place an order for everyone else as well. It's such a good price I hated to not help people get some so they could stop buying the yuck meat too! ;)

Anyway, let me know how much you would like. I do have a lady that is interested in only getting 1/8th so if you want the other 1/8th let me know. That's what I ended up with this time & it took up about 2 & 1/2 shelves in my side-by-side refrigerator freezer that is only 5.8cu ft. So I'm guessing here but I think that came out to 2-3 cu ft. So it's really not as much space as you might think.

Is the price any lower when buying a whole cow? I'd be interested in possibly doing a co-op on this in the future, if so. Probably not until next year though as I have already purchased some grass fed beef this year.

UPDATE! Since I got such an overwhelming response to this & other posts I had about the beef, I have decided to set up a co-op for it. So if you find this post at a later date please feel free to contact me about it because if I don't have an order coming soon, I may have one in the near future! However, please keep in mind that when I posted this I was just looking for help to unload what I had already committed to, thus the reason I said someone could get 1/8th at the same price as 1/4th. If anyone is interested in only 1/8th the price will be $4.75/lb. instead of the above mentioned $4.50. Obviously it is more work to separate it! :) Believe me, it was no easy task to do it either! That stuff is cold! Brrrr!
