My name is Karen
I grew up in NH, Spent lots of time in Maine and MA.
We moved to FL 6 years ago and have been in the Charlotte Area for just over 3 years now.
I home school my 8 year old son and am Breastfeeding my 2 1/2 year old daughter.
We are currently looking to sell our home and to buy some land so we can be a bit more self sustaining. We are constantly learning ways to improve our health and our lives. I feel there is so much that we can do and learn.
I look forward to getting to know you all and learning from you.
I grew up in NY (Long Island), then lived in MA for 10 years (Boston area, Andover, Wellesley) with 1 year in Eliot, ME. Then we lived in Merrimack, NH from 2002 until 2006 when we moved here.
I homeschool also and have an 8 yo daughter, 6 yo daughter, 2 1/2 yo daughter and a 4 mo son. What area of Charlotte are you in?

Hi Karen,
I've heard so much about you from Pat, glad to see you here.
We lived in Jacksonville, FL for 5 years, then to Philly, we've been here for 7 years now. I can't believe it's been that long but we LOVE it! Where are you looking for land? We have some in Marshville (out 218) and I still think about moving out there to have an actual farm someday. DH is not so sure :)

Glad you joined us!
I know you are passionate about green living. There are a couple of forums to add all of your references and share your knowledge. This is an area that I'm trying to learn about.
Hope you can join us for the monthly meetings, MNO, and the potluck coming up!
I grew up in Newton NH, right on the MA border near Haverhill and Amesbury.
My son was born in Melrose when we lived on the North Shore. My family has a home in ME, between Bangor and Mnt Desert Island. I always worked in MA ; Andover, Haverhill, Georgetown, Lawrance, Boston, Marblehead. I worked at a friends Art Camp on a 40 acre farm in NH, one of my Few NH Jobs lol!
We moved to Pensacola FL. I was miserable. The pollution helped to open my eyes more to the environment. I missed beign near Boston. And we would drive up to Atlanta to feel civilized LOL.
We have been very happy in NC, but I did not realize it was growing so fast before we moved here fear. I wish we had moved farther out sooner. What can I say... I want the best of both worlds! I lived in the woods an hour from Boston. I want it all!!
