I love this group!! What great forums! All the stuff I love to yak about and learn and share!! I need cookware still and am super short on cash!! Cast iron or stainless. Also looking fo r small bowls for the kids that aren't plastic but for smaller hands.

Hi Laura, I may be too late responding, but we use small ceramic bowls (got these at pier 1) for my youngest (19 months). It's small enough for her little hands and big enough to put a few food items in. They really aren't "bowls" but more like ramekins. I think the display said they were good for baking mini quiches in--which we have done and they are great! She bangs it on the table every once in a while, but mostly the concern over breaking is not an issue.

I just saw some cute little bowls (some ceramic, some glass) at Consignment 1st. It was like $2 for 4 or 6. I almost got them because the size was so great but I have a lot of bowls :)

If you aren't familiar with it, they are located on the corner of Independence and Sam Newell, behind the Blockbuster. They also have locations in the University area, Lake Norman and Pineville. You can google for other location. Of course, things will be different at each one but little bowls are common.

I want to start composting but son't know much abbout it. I want it to be something the kids can be involed in but I have dogs and I don't want snakes or furry animals coming in the yard b/c they will get DEAD!!

So can I still do this and how?
