Was there a homeschool forum or thread before? I am looking for all of the local resources for hs'ing. I am more seriously considering it.

I combined the forums under "General Chat".

Here is a list of other homeschool groups in the area. This is only a small portion. There are probably another 50-100 which I don't know about.

Connecting Christian Homeschoolers in the Charlotte area
CCHNet is an information loop for homeschoolers in the greater Charlotte area. The group is Christian based; however, anyone who does not mind religious postings may join and there is no statement of faith required. Events, classes, support group activities, and anything of interest to homeschoolers may be posted. There is also room for discussions and encouragement. Rock Hill Area Homeschoolers support group (RHAH) is not a Christian
membership only group- they are a totally inclusive support group
where everyone is welcomed regardless of their professed faith. They
do not require members to sign a statement of faith or any other
documents.

Lake Norman Secular Homeschoolers (LKN-sec) is an inclusive, secular
homeschooling group providing support, resources and activities for

East Mecklenburg Home Schoolers- A new (August 2008) homeschool support group on the east side of Mecklenburg County (Charlotte) NC. Our intent is to fill this "No-Man's Zone" south of University City but north of Mint Hill. We are an inclusive group, open to all homeschooling families. Our target area is south of Rocky River Rd, north of Albemarle Rd, and east of W T Harris Blvd. However, we welcome others outside the area to join as well.

March will be our 1st anniversary for home schooling!
E&D was a great resource for us finding what there is to do in the area for HomeSchoolers.
We are thrilled we made the choice! (wish we had made it sooner!)
Kristen, What else do you need besides what Pat has posted? Are you aware of our homeschool stores:

There will be used curriculum sales and various seminars and conferences coming up in the spring and summer.

If you have particular concerns, please feel free to voice them and you may get some good feedback to help you.

SHE'S HERE!!

So Maya Lynn decided to come Saturday afternon.After a long labor, but a REAL quick one push delivery she arrived Saturday September 12, 2009 at 5:09.She's 7lb. 11 oz. and 20 1/2" long.We came home Sunday afternoon and have all been doing really well.I will update with photos when I get time to download them.See More
