Exploring Holistic Alternatives

Families practicing: Alternative & Natural Health; Attachment and Mindful Parent

Hi everyone-

I met some of you at Earth Fare lat month, Laura Anne Farley with Baby Booty Wear. I have Annika(5) and Samantha(22mo) . I am glad to have this local group and hope to learn lots and lots. I feel that I've only seen the tip of the iceberg and wan to learn from all of your experiences. My husband travels a lot so it is hard to get out on a weeknight, but I still want to hear about the meetings. I look forward to meeting at a playdate!

Glad you are here. We've discussed possibly adding a Sunday afternoon holistic meeting/presentation monthly, also. If there is enough interest, we could probably start that after the first of the year.

Pat
that would work. Can I start a cloth diaper discussion group?
Yes, there is an EC/cloth diaper forum: http://xploringholisticalternatives.ning.com/forum

Or you are welcome to start a "Group". (top menu)

"For Sale" items can be posted in "Advertisements" under Member Resources: http://xploringholisticalternatives.ning.com/forum/topic/show?id=23...

Welcome Laura!
My husband used to travel to Dallas every week, when my oldest were 4 and 2, so I understand your situation. I live in Mint Hill as well, if you need any help when your husband is away, please feel free to contact me.

Cara
yes! we should get together! How old are your kids now?
Hi Laura,

Looking forward to meeting you! My girls are 5.5 and 3.

My girls are 8, 6 and 2.5. I have an almost 4 month old boy too.

There is a standing home school playdate at the Mint Hill Wilgrove Park on Fridays from 1-3 pm. We usually go. There are a lot of other families with 5-6 yr old girls and also some toddlers. There is a sandbox the toddlers can play in.

You should join us if you are free!

Cara
Hey I remember you. Your girls were so good for being out at night and not being able to play much. I've actually given your card out to a few people so I hope it got you some business.
Thank you! I have gotten a few web orders but no one referrenced the HMN. I appreciate the referrals though. I am going to post an ad tomorrow on this site.
I would be really interested in a meeting during weekend, since my husband travels too...

Poison Ivy

Does anyone have suggestions for relieving poison ivy itch?  I'm new to holistic treatments, and hubby has a small case of what he thinks is poison ivy or oak on face and hands.
