I use a Silver Gel product and really love it for wounds. I know you have to be careful with internal silver products. I've not heard of this one but some people swear by them.

Have you heard the story about the man who turned blue? He was putting it all over his body for a skin problem he was having for a long period of time and it tattooed his skin. He will be blue for the rest of his life. I' not trying to scare anyone I just think it was funny. The man was using it internally and then on his body for a really long time and didn't realize he was turning blue> LOL! How do you not notice something like that? But the health benifits are supposed to be good for infections (if used properly!) I'm sure you can find info on him on the web. I guess even his internal organs are blue due to such prolong use.I have been thinkng of trying for scrapes and cuts. I have been using the medical grade honey spray for cuts, and I like that.

Jenn
I have heard about him - freaky! It is important to have a reputable source. It's great for cuts and burns though.

Pam told me about honey for wounds. What type of spray do you have?

I've used it orally and at a friend's suggestion also in my eye for pink eye. I would definitely recommend NOT using it in your eye. I proceeded to get the worst eye infection I have ever had. My eyeball actually swelled up. I don't normally take medication but this was literally the most painful thing I have ever experienced and I would have taken anything to make it stop but I was 6 weeks pregnant.

However, I do know that taking it orally is just fine to help boost your immune system.
Colloidal Silver drops were actually recommended by my pediatrician (Wendy Tally) when my daughter had an ear infection. I put about 3 - 4 drops in her ears every 4 hours or so, and it completely cleared up (I also used breast milk, but Dr. Tally said she'd had better luck with colloidal silver; I just used both...). She also suggested using it during a bad head cold, just to make sure an ear infection didn't get started, which I've done a few times. We've never had another ear infection. So, I highly recommend it for ears. Oh, my previous chiropractor was very surprised to hear that my pediatrician had recommended it, since it wasn't along the normal 'medical' path. He highly recommended it for ears, too.

Whoa! I used it to treat pink eye in myself and my girls the last time we had it. It stings just a bit, but for me the sting was more a relief than anything else... I'd rather sting than itch! We had no swelling and for the first time in my life I kicked pink eye without using antibiotics. I have had pink eye a LOT too. I'm sorry you had such a horrible experience. That sounds really scary.
I use it all the time. I use it internally for colds and illnesses, in the ears and eyes. You do have to use a very pure form if you are putting it in the eyes. If you take too much for too long it can cause your blood to turn blue. The turn "Blue Blood" referring to the rich came to be because the wealthy were the only ones who used real silver for their flatware, plates and serving things. They got so much silver that they turned a bluish shade...hence the name!
I did hear about the blue guy!!
We've used it in eye drops, and it was a long time ago. Musta worked fine!
My pedi has me use it for my daughter when she has ear or throat infections. So far, I am unsure if it works.

Poison Ivy

Does anyone have suggestions for relieving poison ivy itch?  I'm new to holistic treatments, and hubby has a small case of what he thinks is poison ivy or oak on face and hands.
